Dear Christopher, 

You were not my first crush
But it was through you that I first felt the agony of rejection
Too young we were and foolish was I
Hoping you might feel the same
When you shunned me, I was fine
Though friendship I hoped would continue
But alas! It wasn't the case
And I felt the sting of it
It affected me in ways I didn't realize until when I was older
