Who is Maria Michaela?

This is me…if I were an animé.

I felt the need to change my About Page, so here goes.

Maria Michaela is the pen name I use when I blog. It comes from the names my parents would call me when I was younger. It is not related to my real name in any way. In fact, it’s too far from my real name which is why I use it.

Maria Michaela is my writing persona. It allows my creative juices to flow. Perhaps someday, I’d be bold enough to share my real name. I’m like Rumpelstiltskin of sorts although I can’t spin things to gold (oh if only!).

I usually write poetries and at times dable in short stories or some flash fiction, if you can call it that. I join some challenges here as it helps me when I feel stuck and it’s a great way to know other bloggers as well.
