How Was Your Day?

Has anyone checked on you?

Asked you if you’re okay or blue?

If no one bothered then do not fret

Not all things we can get

But let me be the one to ask

How was your day’s task?

If not all was well, that’s okay

It’s only the end of day

Let’s try again tomorrow, shall we?

Let’s help each other, you and me

So I ask, how was your day?

I do hope you are okay

I’ll Miss You For Now

I’ll miss you while you’re not here

I’ll miss our small talks and conversations

I’ll miss our laughters and our tears

I’ll miss your silly expressions.
I’ll miss our morning routine of drinking coffee

I’ll miss your simple giggles and smile

I’ll miss you now and how I wish to be

There for you, even just for a while.
I’ll miss you until you come to my life

I’ll miss you for now.

Sincerely,

Your future wife

Today, Tomorrow and Yesterday

today has gone away

tomorrow is another day

yesterday has done it’s part

it won’t have a change of heart

fear not what you know not of

you know you’ll make it when push comes to shove

life is not a race

you’re suppose to take time, slow your pace

do what you can for today

relive but don’t dwell on the moments of yesterday

tomorrow is always a day away

no use fretting that’s what I say

keep to your faith for that is what really counts

Looking Forward to Yesterday

when I close my eyes I see your face, it haunts me to this day

why can’t I seem to let you go?

why should I live in dismay?

I didn’t want to see you go but it seems

you didn’t want to stay

you turned your back as you said goodbye

what more could I say?

you’ve let me go when I still love you so

it’s so unbalanced; so painful

and you saying we can still be friends is not being helpful

my lips are cracked and they bleed and I’m hurt

while you are somewhere far away,

and all that’s left of you is a torn up shirt

through gritted teeth and freezing rain

I face this horrible pain

in time I know you’ll be nothing more but

part of my history

tomorrow may still be a mystery….to me

yet I can’t wait to look forward

to yesterday

(inspired by Mandy Moore’s song “Looking Forward to Looking Back”)
