Old School Love

Write me love letters on perfumed stationeries

Declare love and talk about our future like the visionaries.

Let’s talk face to face, not just a text or chat

Nothing gets better than that.

Let’s watch the sun set and rise and just keep silent

Take in the view and the moment.

Keep it slow, simple, like old school

Yes, that kind of love would be so cool.

I Wrote About You

I’m off to somewhere and all excited

But somehow my thoughts go back to you.

A stroke of genius

Or maybe not,

Yet I knew I had to put it into words.

So I wrote this just to let you know that I thought of you.

– Maria Michaela

He made me write poems when I was brokenhearted

He made me rhyme when I was excited

I thought that I was a no one who found someone

Turns out he was my lesson, that love is not for everyone.

I learned and moved on, finally able to let go of the hurt

My reply to the heartbreak was at first curt

But when the dust settled

I matured and won the battle.

He made me write poems…

Plot

What is the story all about?

How do you write it?

Where to begin and where to end?

Armed with a pen and a mind full of imagination

Your power is limitless

Lost Touch

I lost my touch, haven’t I?

Words on a high

They all seem to fly

Away from me

Away from me

I’m drowning slowly, this I know

I’m not sure how far I can go

I’m not sure if words can still take me there, so

This could or might or should be the last

Typewriter

Old and worn

Feeling tired

It has witnessed many writings

Many changes

Many stories

It is old

And it holds so many memories

A Title Is Needed

I am no poet and this is no poetry

I write no songs, I share no story

I am mortal and yes I worry

About life, about love

About the moon and stars above
But I am no poet as you can see

I just write whatever comes to me

Touch

I used to write about poetry

About love, why I’m happy

Now, it seems I’m always in agony

Sharing about misery
Maybe I lost my touch

As I drifted away and such

Maybe I never really had much

Letter

When was the last ti!e you wrote a letter?

To ask anything, like if someone was feeling better.

Can you still recall the last letter you wrote?

I wonder….

Don’t Feel

I don’t feel like writing

I don’t feel poetic

I don’t feel like rhyming

I’m done trying

I’m just numb today
