Dream Job

Why is it that I wonder what I feel I could be?

To do what I love and maybe love what I do

To be able to do what some are able to

To work buy don’t feelit as work

To pursue what I feel fits me truly
In this world of practicality

I wonder what might have been

Or what could be

If I do what I truly want

Don’t Talk

Work hard and stay humble

When everyone else casts you aside

Surprise them by not being boastful

Let them talk, that is all they do

Try your hardest and let your achievement do the talking

The mirror told no lie

I needed to start, I needed to try

I’ve been on this road before and I know I can make it

Like others before me who stood up rather than stay and sit

A goal has been set and my mind too

Get up lazy bones, yes I’m talking to you

Start the workout no matter how much you have to bend

You’ll thank yourself later when you get to the end

Shapes

Time to stop the whining

I have to start winning

Prove to no one I can do this

Prove only to myself I can’t miss

I have to set my mind to working hard

Getting back in shape will such a reward

View From Here

I take a step back and I look at the view

I inhale the air, I’m still feeling blue

I don’t quite know what will happen

Eyes wide and bright, mind sharpened

I’m looking at the top from here

I’ll get there someday and tons will surely cheer

Her Awkward Smile

She smiles the awkward smile
Greeting you from far away
She tries to be as positive as she can
She looks for ways
She knows it won’t be easy
She knows it’ll take time
But she takes it as a challenge
And to prove, not to the world but only to her own
That she can do it

He looks at her so lovingly,

Smiles secretly,
And falls in love with her, knowingly.

He readily gives his heart out
Perfectly knowing she’ll break it apart.
To the sky he shouts,
“She owns my heart!”
Even though her feelings do not equal his.

He is but a work of fiction,
Of books and of movies.
He exists only in the mind.
But if he were real,
He’d be a gem like rubies.

Last Day

I scoop the sunset
Keep it in my back pocket
I collect the smiles
And hide them away
The memories are locked away
Ready for the rainy day
One last look
One last glance
One last time
Before our temporary goodbye
Bitter-sweet is this day
I spend my last day at work with all of you

My Week

Monday is manic most people say
Others even think it’s traumatic unlike the rest of the days
I beg to differ as my days are different

Monday is slow
Almost nothing to do

Tuesday is in the rough
You wish you could do more

Wednesday is wicked
And not in a good way
Manic of all manics
I wouldn’t know where to start
Midweek madness as what I would say

Thursday drags on
So many things to do
Got to get things done

Friday comes along
This is the final stretch
Last day to finish all
Until next week begins once more

Late Night

I worked all day and slept all night

so many things to do

a troubled sleep does not help at all

it gives me a bad headache

and yet I stay up late at night

to wish upon a star

hoping that the man on the moon

would get back to Earth

someday

somehow

soon
