A Simple Word

“I love you” is a simple word

But greatly abused

Greatly over used

Greatly misused

Mostly taken advantaged of

And often forgotten.

And so I say to all those who need to hear this,

Remember these words

I love you

All The Words

With just one word

Silence or inspiration comes

Hello Up There!

I talk to you though you never say much

Near enough to see,

Far enough unable to touch

You listen to my woes and often we don’t say a word

Yet you fill this aching heart

You manage to remove the stabbed sword

I sit here, looking up

We both are quite still

That One Word

One word to melt a heart

One word to break it

One word to tear it apart

One word to mend it

Four letters you can keep

Or simply let it slip away

What Is Love?

Can love ever be defined?

Four words so short yet so powerful

Its meaning cannot be one and the same

One thing is for sure, it is powerful

Not A Word

A dip with the sunset
Washed away my being upset
I look up to the sky
While the sun bids goodbye
The stars and moon say, “hi”

Underneath the magical moment
My soul is kept silent
And I watch the show unfold
My eyes glitter as the heavens say, “behold!”
A wonderful story being told
Without a single word

This is my favorite show
A lot of people see but do not know
They can watch this for free
If they only keep still and silent

Words For Thought

To put thoughts in writing
Make it a word
A sentence
One that makes sense
How do you convey the most beautiful thought?
How do you write it down and give it life?

Simple Words

Simple words for simple thoughts

Big words can be confusing

Keeping it short, keeping it simple

Word play and word choice

As simple as that

Words For You

If I could speak of words lovely and true

They would be dedicated to you

I’d write of it and sing of it

But it will be all a secret

For you are too precious to me

And the whole world doesn’t have to know or see

Word Addiction

I want to stop but I am drawn in everytime

I keep coming back for more

hungrier, thirstier with each come back

They come around when I least expect it

falling invisibly from the sky to my noggin

My fingers type away and

I’m in autopilot

I get this feeling, a sensation

a high that I can’t describe

I’d like to stop, but the words just keep on coming

unbolt me

the literary asylum
