Gone And Lost

Weak was my heart

Strong was the emotion

Tide turned the waves over

And I was lost at sea forever

In this square room I suddenly hear

Waves crashing that seems too far away

Light years they are! Light years!
I see the beach, I feel the sand beneath my feet

My mind wanders

While my body remains in this seat.
The mountains call, their cold springs wait

While I am nowhere near them

Alas! This awful fate!
I’d like to leave now

Leave and be free

Waves By The Beach

I close my eyes and listen to the waves
I slowly drift in my mind to a peaceful place
I imagine exploring underwater caves
And thank God for this wonderful grace

I listen to the waves
And I know I am home

The moon was up

He held his breath
Taken aback
He listened to the waves

All was still, except his heart
He could not keep it steady
He looked around
And there she was,
Just as she was
But seemed more lovely now
With this new eyes

The Things That Bring Me Joy

Moonlight kisses me on my forehead
Daylight makes me smile
Sand beneath my feet
Waves waving by
Butterflies and flowers, complete my day

It calls to me
The mighty,
The majestic sea

I long for its sweet embrace
Sun kiss upon my face
And the sea dancing with grace

When will I marvel once more?
Just like I did before
Sleeping on the shore

Soon I will visit the sea
Be in awe with its majesty
Once again….the sea and me
