I took out the stars for you

Pulled them close so you could hold on to them,

See their beauty up close.

Let the light shine upon that rugged face

Feel the warmth of their light and let it be your guide.

You belong with the stars, love

So don’t forget to shine.

Near Christmas

The lights flicker and glow

The time and the moment pass by slow

I watch the world busy itself

Put myself up on the shelf

I sit with a warm cup of coffee on hand

Looking at this beauty so grand

And then my thoughts drift to you

Wondering if your Christmas would still be blue

It’s near Christmas, I hope you feel the warmth.

Carry Me Home

I’ve been dragging my feet for what seems like a thousand miles

Wandering aimlessly

Not knowing where to go

All I know is I’ve got to get home

Home, home, home

Where is my home?

Let me feel its warmth and its comfort

The familiar scent of where I belong

Oh home!

Where Is Home?

A soul roamed the world, traveled as they say

Took the routes and different ways

Traveled far and it was good

But still, the soul wasn’t in the mood

It was missing something

Even when it did everything

It lacked warmth, familiarity, roots

It just went wherever it suits

It knew it’s way but was still lost

The soul needed a home, needed it at all cost!
But where is this home?

From The Heart

I hope you know that I care, truly
Yes, I do

I only want to be there when you need a friend
A shoulder you can lean on
I sometimes want to wrap my arms around you
Make you feel comforted

I hope you know
I truly care for you

It Is The Sunrise

I could go on and on and praise the sunset
But the sunrise, she calls to me
It takes great effort and great lengths for me to see her
But her orange red glow is beauty like no other

Slowly she rises, waking and waiting for all to see her
She smiles and so do I
And I let her warmth envelope me

Enjoy The Day

The leaves whisper through the breeze
I listen carefully
The day is there for me to seize
So I listen intently
I close my eyes and look up the sky
I feel the suns warmth
Birds chirping they slowly fly
Headed somewhere north
I take time and enjoy the moment
This is for me, for my enjoyment

Keep Me Warm

And I cuddle and bundle myself
But thinking of only one thing that can truly keep me warm
His hugs
His smile
Those eyes
The way he winks at me
That look on his face
The way he laughs

I can’t wait until I am with him once more

Cup of Tea

A cup of tea warms the heart

Feeds the soul and lightens the mind

Relaxes the muscles

Strengthens the bones

Reenergizes and revitalizes the memory

Calms the senses

Shade

The heat intensifies as the scorching sun

Continues to beat down unforgivingly.

Sweat, saliva and blood dry up under the summer sky

Quench your thirst with mucky water

As you are squeezed into a pruny prune

Then into the shade of an old Acacia tree

Where a cool Watermelon dipped in icy coldness

Awaits to end your thirst
