“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes, a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king”
My last post was four days ago and I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything new. My brain cells are just not working well right now.
I can’t come up with a good poem to share, hence I’ll share a poem from one of my favourite authors instead.
The poem was written by Bilbo describing Aragorn. I love this one as Aragorn is one of my favourite (if not, my most favourite) character from LOTR (Lord of the Rings).
John Ronald Reuel Tolkien or better known as J.R.R. Tolkien is a genius in so many ways. He created his own language and created a world of masterpiece that engrosses generations of old and new.
I’ve just started reading the Silmarillion and I can’t wait to read further. I have been reading on some of the characters that Tolkien created and I am in awe with how well he’s come up with them.
As a guide to Tolkien’s masterpiece, I’ve recently subscribed to this awesome YouTube channel that’s all about Tolkien’s works. I recommend you guys checkout Men of The West YouTube page and checkout videos about character histories and other tales. I’ve provided a link below so you can check it out 😁.
I hope you guys enjoyed the poem. ‘Til then earthlings!

I’ve been dragging my feet for what seems like a thousand miles
Not knowing where to go
All I know is I’ve got to get home
Home, home, home
Where is my home?
Let me feel its warmth and its comfort
The familiar scent of where I belong
Far away for too long
Loneliness as songs
I dream of seeing that familiar place
Where I left long ago with grace
A smile will show upon this face
Once I see the one I call….
And I wonder
Sometimes I ask
Am I where I’m supposed to be?
And then I look at what I have
And I realize, I am
I have more than I asked for
It’s a matter of perspective
Seeing life as a glass half full
Or half empty
Or just seeing the glass itself
I have a home yet I am homeless
My heart has no home to call its own
I am free yet sometimes I long to be hold down
Not so much alone but looking for a companion
A heart that beats, still feels something is missing
I look for no one yet long for someone
A homie homeless heart
Maybe someday it’ll find its home
I felt like floating
I wasn’t myself
I felt being elsewhere
But I could not get out.
I watched the clouds just outside the window
And I saw them being pushed on by the breeze
They seem to enjoy it
And so I smiled.
If only I could be like the clouds
Floating above, going to different places
Great was the horizon
The sun peaked ahead
This was no dream
Happening inside his head
It was real
He walked further and saw the view himself
It took his breath away
He looked back, only to see how far he’s wandered
He smiled knowing…
This is what he wanted all along
I followed my feet and let it take me wherever
I went to a place where no one knew
And I looked back only to see the sunrise
I had no idea where I was heading
Only that this is a new beginning
An ending to what once was
I wonder if you wonder and do you ever wonder
If we both are just wondering
Wanderers of this forsaken world
I wander in this world
I have not been as faithful as I should have been
I live my life not minding where my soul will go
When time is up for me
I go on and I pretend
To be the faithful one
Yet I know that deep within
I am a sinful being and have neglected my religious duty
Yet God, the kind father that he is, still showers me His blessings
He still listens to me, hear my prayers
Despite me not taking much time to spend with Him
He sends His message through
He calls out to me and makes me feel loved
The kind of love no one else can give
My soul wanders through this world
And He waits for me to come back
To come home to Him at last
