I Count The Days

Time was moving slow

Just the way I liked it

I didn’t want to count the days

I wanted to make the days count

I Took My Time

I walked the same road that others took

They were all moving too fast

I picked up my pace and I stumbled

No one helped or extended a hand

I was low

And so I decided

To take my own step

My own pace

My own time

5 More Minutes

Evening came and I didn’t want to sleep

But when morning arrived

I didn’t want to wake up just yet

“Five more minutes”, I said just before I slept

And I repeated those lines when the alarm went off.

“Five more minutes. Spare me a little bit more.”

As the alarm goes off again

The Early Morning

In the morning I awake

Before the sun even breaks

I take the moment, I take the silence

I take pleasure in the absence

Of the noise and the fast paced world

Of the toss  and turn where my visiobn becomes blurred

I take each moment that I am alone

Because it is when I am alone, I feel whole

Pitik-pitik, murag kasing-kasing nga naga pitik

Dagan, perming nag dagan

Lihok, perming nag lihok

Pero walay hawa-hawa sa lugar

Naggunit sa oras apan dili kaniya ang oras

Pitik-pitik.

Tick-tock, like a heart ticking

Running, always running

Moving, always moving

But never going anywhere, always just in one place

It holds time yet it doesn’t own time

Tick-tock

End Of August

August ended when it felt like it just started

Another end, another beginning

Life’s cycle as they say

I look back and I wonder what I’ve done with my time

Was I fruitful in August at all?

Time Alone

The earth was still

So was my heart

It was like we were breathing in unison

And as the stars twinkled in the night

I felt peace in my time alone

Step Back

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like

To just live a carefree life

I wonder if I would ever have

The chance to have that

When everything and everyone seem to go so fast

I take a step back and breathe

And I take a moment to just breathe

Waiting, Waiting Game

I look at him

He looks at me

Looking for an opportunity

A moment, to set us both free

Time, Yes Time

Just a little more time

To take some more

We ask for more

Can’t afford any more
