The Last Time

It’s here.

The time has come.

I’m ready to let you go now

I’ll get through this some way, somehow

Time to say goodbye

And let myself fly

Away from you that caused this heart to ache

Away from what could have been my worst mistake.

This is the final act

And this is without a doubt, a fact

That this is the last time

That I will cry for you

Different Lifetime

I could have loved you, you know?

And you could have fallen in love with me.

Maybe in a different lifetime we’ll have that chance.

I Lost My Lover

I lost my lover some years ago

I don’t know how I lost him

I simply just know.

I might have lost him at sea

Or from the mountains

I might have lost him to music

Or art perhaps

I might have lost him through time

Or perhaps hindered by distance.

I’ve never met my lover

Fate wasn’t as kind to us

I know I lost him in some way

I just hope it was not from someone else.

The Trouble With Love

The trouble with love is it never understands me

It never seems to come at the right time

It never came actually.

It finds a way to delay itself and leave me to my thoughts

He said to wait

But never said for how long

I said I’d forget

In time

And yet, here I am

Old School Love

Write me love letters on perfumed stationeries

Declare love and talk about our future like the visionaries.

Let’s talk face to face, not just a text or chat

Nothing gets better than that.

Let’s watch the sun set and rise and just keep silent

Take in the view and the moment.

Keep it slow, simple, like old school

Yes, that kind of love would be so cool.

Find Me

Where the trees dance and the leaves are greenest

Where time is slow

Where the temperature is just right, the sun is warm, the sky bluest, and the clouds softest

Where the birds songs are the only music

That is where you’ll find me

Love And Rhyme

Love made them rhyme

But broke their hearts each time

Because love is a currency of pennies and dimes

And breaking the broken is considered a crime

They fall but continue and again they climb

Chase the moon, do your time

Love again and do some rhymes

Daily Grind

Try to fall asleep

Alarm on

Doze off

Alarm sounds

Wake up

Alarm off

Breakfast? Maybe

Coffee? Yes!

Bath and dress and prepare for work or school

Spend your time doing whatever

Brunch or lunch

Then crunch time again

Come home

Tired, need to relax

Dinner time

Bed, blankets, and pillow

All over again

I Count The Days

Time was moving slow

Just the way I liked it

I didn’t want to count the days

I wanted to make the days count

simple Ula

I want to be rich. Rich in love, rich in health, rich in laughter, rich in adventure and rich in knowledge. You?
