The Right Sound

Music feeds the soul

Everyday I look for the sound that suits my mood

Every song is my jam

Frees my mind from worries

I let it take me away to a better place

As I go through my daily life

Music Feeds The Soul

Oh I get emotional

I get teary-eyed

A rollercoaster ride of feelings

Sometimes I just can’t hide

I go up, I go down

I feel happy, I feel sad

I listen to the words

And often, I feel glad

It captivates me

It’s quite alluring

The wonderful sounds

Of soulful singing

Friday Song

It’s a Friday yet the song I play is for the ones feeling blue
I sing the song, but not because of you
Not because I feel sad or broken
Some words are better left unspoken
But that is not the reason, not at all
I still stand, proud, and tall
The song is just my flow
In a fast paced world, this helps me keep things slow

It’s Friday and I know I play the song for the brokens
But with this, I take away happiness as a token

The rustling of the breeze
Trees bending with ease
The wind sweeping the dry leaves away
They fly as if dancing through their way

And I, a passerby
Take time to reflect in nature’s performance

The Playlist

The music starts and at first you listen
You don’t know the words yet, so you try to, you’re driven
The melody takes you and engulfs you
You start to hum along too
Then the emotion carries you away
And you let it because you never wanted to stay
Then slowly it comes to an end
The song about to die down, what have you learned my friend?

And as the songs replay, reshuffle, repeat
You know the words now, you’ve learned, so you’re on your feet
The playlist is much like history, much like love
It tends to repeat itself, this I know of

How can I write a song about you?

How can I ever never be blue
If I am without you?

How can grasses be green
When without you the sun is mean?

How can clouds never cry
When without you it seems a day to die?

I can ask so many things,
But one thing is for sure,
I van never be without you

Same Song

I used to sing of love songs
I used to write about love
I smiled at my stars
And thanked the heavens above

Then came the heartbreak
The crying and the rains
The sad realization
And the pains

Then I learned to let go
Move on, for real
No bitterness

In some ways, afraid to fall once more

And then you

I may sing the same song once more
But, I’m more than ready if that happens

La La La La

They wonder what makes me happy
And all I say is la la la

They wonder why I still smile
I hum along to la la la

They wonder how I can be so strong
And I just a la la la

Ed Sings

He made a rhyme and placed a tune
Talked about love and reaching the moon.

He told of heartaches and how his heart mended,
About the start of it all and how it ended.

He poured songs about life,
And maybe someday finding a wife.

He sang a song that seemed to be dedicated for me,
He had a way to get people’s emotions, you see.

When he sang it was heavenly,
And people sang along happily.

His gift is amazing! I can listen to him all day,
It wouldn’t be a bore, not at all, not in any way.

I find no inspiration

Not in the stars,
Not with the moon,
Not with the song,
Not with the rhymes,
Nor any rhythms.

I hum along to a make believe sound
But all is the same,
I still find no inspiration
