This is related to the yesterday’s post. I got inspired by the chirping birds that greet me every morning and was planning to write something about their song. I was also thinking how cool it would be, to be able to fly away with them and not be afraid of this pandemic. So I came up with this rhyme.
Take me with you, let me fly
Let my playground be the sky
Let me soar over hills and seas
Play with the butterflies and the bees
Let me have wings like that of yours
To reach the safety of the shores
And on the fields and gardens green
Is where we will rest for the air is clean
He was just a phase.
Much like the moon with its different phases
He came and stayed on my sky for a bit
Enough to inspire
Enough for me to want and fall in love with.
And like the moon
He disappeared one day
And slowly too did my desire for him.
He was just a phase
A lesson I had to learn the hard way
But a lesson learned, nonetheless.
Orange was the sky
Burning brightly yonder.
The west was still dark and sleepy
But the east was bright and awake.
I took a snapshot of the beauty in my mind
To help me get through the day ahead.
I marvel at the stars,
In awe always of the moon,
Enjoy each sunrise,
In love with the mysteries of the ocean,
They call me hopeless romantic.
Alone with the stars tonight
I hear the echoes of the clear night sky
They whisper to me
While I sing silently to their beauty
PS. I don’t own the photo. CTTO
On a full moon with clear skies,
You’ll see me hopping around the moon.
Silently watching the world from space
Silently bidding people goodnight.
Many call out to the man on the moon
While I am all but forgotten.
And I hate that I am in love with the man on the moon
While I am stuck here on earth.
I hate that I’m in love with the stars that are his eyes
While I do nothing but look up and gaze in admiration.
I send kisses through comets with the hope he receives them well.
In return, he sends falling stars with the hopes he may fall to earth, back to me…..someday.
Hold me like holding the stars in the palm of your hands.
Let me trickle down your arms.
And gaze at me like you gaze at the night sky.
Let me lie in your arms like the sun sets at the end of each day.
Love me like tomorrow will never come.
And the moon said, “I’m tired. I’m done”
And left the sky without a word
Every now and then I stop and look at the stars
Always in awe as if I’ve seen them for the first time
I do wish to see the aurora borealis someday
But the stars, they are like diamonds to me
