Lukewarm Feelings

There is uncertainty

Trying to determine whether the emotions flowing are sending the right vibes

Is it mutual?

Is it the same?

But, still unsure

Too busy over thinking

Because it would seem to me, I am the only one feeling the intensity

While you, you only have lukewarm feelings for me

Different

I was never precious or fragile

I was hardly sweet and often too agile

They complain that I’m too much

Others say I’m not enough, as just such

I would never settle and they just can’t understand

I am not theirs to command

I stand out in a world that is full of the-sameness

Familiar

He stared and so did I

Familiar in many ways yet unfamiliar in between

Somewhere we might have crossed paths

In a place familiar and the same

But my mind can’t find where.

We stared at each other

Transfixed for a moment

Everything that seemed familiar never came

Feet Over

The grass is blue

The sky is green

The day becomes night

And night becomes day

It’s how I feel

It’s what I felt

When you loved me

My feet was over my head

A Different Rain

The rain washes away the pain

But sometimes it reminds me of it

The rain trickles down my window pane

Slowly erasing the past hurt

It reminds me of you

It reminds me of nothing

It becomes as it is

Just the rain

Full Circle

The road takes me back to where I once was

But I notice slight changes

Things that used to be there, gone

Things that weren’t, appear

And as I walked further I got nearer

To where I once was

But now, I am different

He Said

He said, “you’re beautiful”

Seeing only what’s outside

He could have said, “you’re soulful”

Had he known what she was inside
He said, “you’re smile is captivating”

Not really knowing she was a paradox

He should have  said, “you’re something”

Knowing full well he knows nothing of her
He said many a things

None of them she felt were real

Because they were just words

And she knows how words can slip by
