Is there a handbook I can read to see things the way you see them?
Tinted, rose colored
Beautiful and positive
For my eyes,
They only see black and white

Sadje’s What do you see # 118 #Whatdoyousee #WDYS
The night fell silent as the moon rose alone
The stars did not come out, they left the moon on its own.
She swept you away like a tide
Swallowed you whole
You held your breath for her
Because for you,
She was worth it.
She was the most stunning rainbow you’ve ever seen
The loveliest rose in the garden.
But you broke her too
Replaced her with someone new
Kind of like how you replaced me…
They bloomed bright and well
But they can’t last, I could tell
They were beautiful, and are still
They brought me joy once before, my happy pill
But now I see they’ve wilted
I look at them with my head tilted
Since you’ve left, the sun did too
And I say goodbye to the roses that came from you
If you think of a rose
If you think of the rain
Do you think of the thorns?
Do you think of the pain?
Roses red and roses white
Plucked I for my love’s delight.
She would none of all my posies–
Bade me gather her blue roses.
Half the world I wandered through,
Seeking where such flowers grew.
Half the world unto my quest
Answered me with laugh and jest.
Home I came at wintertide,
But my silly love had died
Seeking with her latest breath
Roses from the arms of Death.
It may be beyond the grave
She shall find what she would have.
Mine was but an idle quest–
Roses white and red are best!
