Hear The Rain

From the sky it fell

Putting the world under its spell

Listen to the splish and the splash

The pitter patter of it trying to wash

Whatever needs it most

Listen to the rain’s lullaby

Hush, hush, hush, goodnight and goodbye

When It Rained

The rain was pouring hard

And I was tired and not on my guard

You came up to me and smiled

But not the usual smiled you have

It was warm, soft

It pierced my heart

But it was good

And there we stood

Face to face and almost holding hands

Just there, that moment

April Rain

Let the rain kiss you

Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops

Let the rain sing you a lullaby

The rain makes still pools on the sidewalk

The rain makes running pools in the gutter

The rain plays a little sleep song on our roof at night

And I love the rain.

Beautiful Rain

It drips, it drops, it pierces my heart
How could such beauty be so sad at the same time?
Some love it, others hate it
Many pray for it when its presence is gone

Sometimes it’s calm, sometimes it’s not
Its fury scares me
Its delicateness warms me

Still I wonder
How could such beauty be so sad at the same time?

Pour The Rain

It pours
I melt
I love the rain

It drowns the sorrow
I float along
I love the rain

The downpour of tears
Sweeping away the fears
My, my, my why do I love the rain?

Pour a cup of coffee
Pour a cup of love
Keep toasty
Keep falling
Because I so love the rain

Coffee and Rain

coffee and rain mix

add a little sugar so they blend well

a bit of cinnamon if you please

as they fall on my window pane

a drop, a trickle

makes me want to giggle

as inside it gives me a little tickle

a good feeling

I ease on the sofa

while coldness wraps me from the outside

the warmth envelops me from inside

 pitter patter, on it goes

the melody and symphony

the orchestra it creates

for both are bound together like coffee and rain
