Hear The Rain

From the sky it fell

Putting the world under its spell

Listen to the splish and the splash

The pitter patter of it trying to wash

Whatever needs it most

Listen to the rain’s lullaby

Hush, hush, hush, goodnight and goodbye

Gloomy Summer

Dry spell happened even before summer truly began

It’s been hot and humid, to the heat I’m not a fan.

And now on recent days it’s been rainy and gloomy

It’s like a weird summer abnormality.

But to the cooler weather, I am not complaining

I wouldn’t complain even if it were raining.

I welcome this cooler summer while it lasts

As it won’t stay like this for long, according to the forecasts.

What Am I To You?

Your dewdrop

Your sunshine

Your morning coffee

Your shade on a hot summer’s day

.

Your dark cloud

Your rainy day

Your raging wave

A heart attack

.

Your something

Your nothing

Your everything

Your no one

.

I am and I am not

What am I really to you?

I kissed the rain goodbye

I told the grey skies to go

I was done being sad and blue

The rainbow and sunshine have come

Cheers!

Oh life can be tough

And life can be sweet

At times bitter and sad

And then some breakthrough!

A bit of sun under the rain

A rainbow at the end of the dark clouds

It’s never easy

Was never meant to be

But cheers to you doing it all!

Wake And Sleep

I woke up and saw it was raining

So I went back to bed and slept again

Observe

Grey sky

People rushing by

Sound of thunder, rain coming

I was just there, transfixed, just standing

Watching everything and everyone move, flow

Stale

It’s Friday and I should be excited

But I’m up early instead of being asleep

Under the covers of my blanket

Keeping warm from the cold rain

I’m up preparing breakfast

Drinking coffee

Eating stale crackers

To fill my belly.

The warmth of the coffee comforts me

And the staleness of the crackers is somehow welcoming

Drops

Rain drops

Tear drops

Dew drops

Droplets of happiness and sadness

Of pain and suffering

Let them fall, let them drop

When It Rained

The rain was pouring hard

And I was tired and not on my guard

You came up to me and smiled

But not the usual smiled you have

It was warm, soft

It pierced my heart

But it was good

And there we stood

Face to face and almost holding hands

Just there, that moment

unbolt me
