Where Did You Go?

Shooting the sky as fast as a rocket

Flying by as I wave from my window

So fast you came

So quickly you went away

You did not stop

But I did manage to say “hello”

I’m inviting you to come over once again

Hoping you won’t go away as fast the next time

Life Moves Way Too Fast

You’re the reason I get up to face each hectic day
How did our lives get so  consumed with nonsense on the way
We used to take the time to laugh and play  a game or two
But now it seems we fight a lot and cry way too much too
So  when you go to sleep at night I’ll slip in by your side
I’ll hold you close  and squeeze you tight and feel amazing pride
You’re the one that I love best,  it’s very clear to see
With every day I know I’m blessed that you’re a part  of me
Now let’s just try to slow it down and savor all that’s past
For  that’s what molds our future, and life moves way too fast

Fast Forward Fast Lane

I get lost in the fast lane

Caught up in a load of pain

Missed the bus and the train

Everything’s too fast, I’m going insane

Who am I too complain?

But I can’t take it ; it’s far too much for my brain

Everything is way too fast

No time to mingle , no time to relax…it’s not a blast

It’s hard even to look back at the past

People pushing you to look forward as if something’s wrong if you’re last

“Can’t we just slow down a bit?”, that’s what I asked

I want to live my life and enjoy it

I’m going to have fun with every single bit

I won’t care if I’m different and they’ll say I don’t fit

I’m going to get out of here, time to split!

Life in the fast lane is too fast,

time to rest and sit

and just take it nice, slow and easy

Time

Time, it stands still when you’re in a hurry

but it moves faster than the speed of light

when you’re with someone special

When you’re taking your break

it goes by so quickly you can’t even feel it

but when you wait in line,

it’s slower than a snail’s pace

Time, can be a gift to those who want to forget

but can be a burden to those who want to stay young

It is as precious as gold

yet often times forgotten

Time, is something you can spend endlessly

but can never be turned back

even if you move back the hands of the clock

So, what will you do with your time?
