Ang kabugnawon sa buntag
Maoy mi sugat kanako.
Ang kaalimuot giwagtang
Sa bugnaw nga ni gakos sa ako.
Ang habol, ang unlan, mao ang gigamit sa pagtago
Akong kalipay nga matulog ug dugay-dugay, kutob langit sangko.
The cold morning
It washed away the humidity
As it embraced me.
The blankets, the pillows, I use as my shield
As I happily sleep longer under the covers that I built.
Oh sleep! Oh sleep! Where are you?
Although this is nothing new
It always makes me feel blue.
I close my eyes but my mind is awake
Come and visit me, for goodness sake!
Come and hum your lullaby
Don’t just pass me by.
Let me in to dream land
And experience a sleep so grand.
Hear my plea, and come to me
Let me sleep and rest, finally.
books lined up all ready to be read
the sensation of seeing all of them lined up
brings curiosity and a small grin curls up the mouth
which one, which one?
which one to read first?
adventure or mystery or sci-fi?
maybe non fiction? how about fairytale?
my eyes are glued to the beauty the shelf holds
my fingers anticipate, as if drooling
I pick one and curl up , snuggle in
Tonight, I’ll be sleeping with this book in hand
