No One Loves

No one to love or hold

No one to embrace

No one to give love

Who Will Love Me?

Will there be someone?

Will there be anyone?

Sitting at the park bench

Alone and rain drenched

I am my own

Always on my own

Someone’s Something

I am someone’s no one

I am someone’s someone

And I am also someone’s everything

And nothing

And something altogether

Along Came No One

He sat there and nobody noticed

Except I who was already there, no one looking at us

The silence was loud yet he nor I flinched

Time was creeping slowly, inch by inch

He could have left, avoiding the awkwardness

But he remained there, we both did and so did silence

No one came and I think we both preferred it that way

She dyed her hair black to be amongst many

She kept her mouth shut so no one would see

She kept her head still so no one could hear

She wanted to fit in.
She asks herself why people have to be so self centered

Why people care too much of how they look

Couldn’t they just look into what really matters,

Like the heart and the soul?
Why do we get caught up with ourselves?

Why is it so hard to be just herself?

Why did she have to change?
So she tries to fit in amongst the sea of everyone

Where she once was a someone

She’ll ultimately become a no one.

Avoid

I said yes
He said no
I’ll take it today
But not again tomorrow

I’ll take that as a hint
I’ll take it as a sign
That he is avoiding any time spent with me
So I’ll  live with it, maybe I will be fine

Whatever the reason may be
I know, he’s avoiding me

The One For No One

How do you know when you’ve found the one?
Does your heart beat fast and all your fears suddenly gone?

Do you feel butterflies in your stomach?
Or maybe just nothing, not even a sweat in your buttocks

So I pray and wait and hope
That you may arrive
But then again maybe you have, but the time is not ideal yet

I am a no one, waiting for the one

I’d love to be nobody
Because I’d like to be different from everybody
There is always a somebody
And always an anybody
But no one gets to be nobody as often

And so I’ve decided
To be nobody

A Poem For No One

I write for no one, no one in particular

not to the boy begging on the street

not to the man playing his guitar

not to the old lady carrying a heavy sack

or to the woman carrying a child in her arms

I write for no one

not you not me

not him or her

not for the child who’s playing all alone

or the child enjoying an ice cream

I do not dedicate this to anyone

I dedicate this for all
