At Night

I saw the moon tonight

Shinning brightly

I feel peace rush over me

I wanted to hear its serenade

But the evening traffic forced me to bid adieu

When The Sun Went Down

The day the sun went down,

It never came back up again.

The world was dark say for the stars and the silent moon

But their light was faint.

“Goodbye”, said the sun

And it set forever, never to return.

Moon Rays

The moon rays showered down the world

And all were silently dreaming

The Stars Tonight

Oh the stars are calling me tonight

To play and dance under their light

Dancing Clouds

I could have danced all night with the stars watching over me

But the clouds came by

I stopped and greeted them

They were a bit shy

Nonetheless they said “hi”

They too danced along

And I smiled

It was a wonderful number

The stars did agree

And that was how the clouds danced that night

Under Starry Skies

Under starry skies his smile fills my head

I see him in my mind and take it all in

I remember seeing him look my way

Then he went away

Long Night

Mind racing like the speed of light

Heart pounding like it’s out of sight

Eyes wide open, everything seems bright

Hold your breath, it’s going to be a long night

Is the moon tired? she looks so pale
Within her misty veil:
She scales the sky from east to west,
And takes no rest.

Before the coming of the night
The moon shows papery white;
Before the dawning of the day
She fades away.

The sun descending in the west,
The evening star does shine;
The birds are silent in their nest,
And I must seek for mine.
The moon, like a flower,
In heaven’s high bower,
With silent delight
Sits and smiles on the night.

Farewell, green fields and happy groves,
Where flocks have took delight.
Where lambs have nibbled, silent moves
The feet of angels bright;
Unseen they pour blessing,
And joy without ceasing,
On each bud and blossom,
And each sleeping bosom.

They look in every thoughtless nest,
Where birds are covered warm;
They visit caves of every beast,
To keep them all from harm.
If they see any weeping
That should have been sleeping,
They pour sleep on their head,
And sit down by their bed.

When wolves and tigers howl for prey,
They pitying stand and weep;
Seeking to drive their thirst away,
And keep them from the sheep.
But if they rush dreadful,
The angels, most heedful,
Receive each mild spirit,
New worlds to inherit.

And there the lion’s ruddy eyes
Shall flow with tears of gold,
And pitying the tender cries,
And walking round the fold,
Saying, ‘Wrath, by His meekness,
And, by His health, sickness
Is driven away
From our immortal day.

‘And now beside thee, bleating lamb,
I can lie down and sleep;
Or think on Him who bore thy name,
Graze after thee and weep.
For, washed in life’s river,
My bright mane for ever
Shall shine like the gold
As I guard o’er the fold.’

Moving With Life

I loved the rainbows, I loved the rain

I loved the happiness, I loved the pain

The sun shines bright

And sometimes it gets darker than the night

But through it all I carry on

Foward, onward, moving on.
