Hello Up There!

I talk to you though you never say much

Near enough to see,

Far enough unable to touch

You listen to my woes and often we don’t say a word

Yet you fill this aching heart

You manage to remove the stabbed sword

I sit here, looking up

We both are quite still

Will Be

He was sun

He was moon

He was now and later

He was also soon

He was the one I loved

He was the one who broke my heart

He was the one I hoped for

He was the one set apart

He was past

And that’s where he will be

Stunning

She danced, no, floated into the ballroom

She was lovely and she was alone

She begged to dance with Mr. Moon but he was not in sight

He hid from her, from the people

She looked as radiant as can be

And the stars could not help but fall to their knees

As they waltz down towards her

And took her stunning beauty with them

As she became part of the stars

This World

I love the rain and the sun

I love the moon and stars even when they’ve gone

I love the butterflies that have become scarce

And the dragonflies that have disappeared

Good Morning, Jupiter

I told Earth I’d be going on a vacation

I kissed the Moon and bid farewell

I packed my bags and off I went

All was nice, all was well

I walked across the asteroid belt

And met Mars who was red from tanning

Then off to Jupiter I was

And boy did it look stunning!

I may chill with Pluto soon

For now, I say good morning to Jupiter and it’s moons

Stretched

I gaze high up at the sky

My arms outstretched
I reached for the stars, the moon, the comets

The planets danced

Took a quick glance

And made a staircase to the heavens
I climbed and stretched some more

Asleep With The Moon

Tonight I will be at the cosmos

I will watch the Earth from afar

I will wander the galaxy

And have adventures with the astronauts
Tonight, I will float as I fall asleep with the moon

Gipangandoy, sama sa pagpangandoy sa buwan

Naghangad kanunay

Naghinaot makab-ot ang sama kanimo

Apan layo kaayo ka

Layo ra sa ako

Layo ra nga maako

Kutob ra sa pangandoy

Sama sa buwan

Strange Moon

Round and looking ripe

Yellowish and no hint of stripe

I gaze at it like I did so many times before

It removes my sadness and life’s sores

The moon, she gazes back and smiles

Even when I’m away for miles

She knows me

She sees me

She says hello.

Such a strange moon

Goodnight dreamland

I sleep with the night light off

The stars twinkle above my head

And the moon sings lullabies
