I fell in love with you but you didn’t
So that was an opportunity we both lost.
You fell in love with someone,
I got hurt and bruised.
Eventually I moved on and so did you,
But you broke that person’s heart because you found someone new.
Soon after your new love moved on without you
And we lost touch,
I didn’t dare ask how you have been doing
For fear you might think I’m still hoping for so much.
Our paths once crossed but it seems it will never again
You and I, we try to avoid each other it seems.
Our story ends here
Or it may be a to be continued when we’re different people in a different life.
“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes, a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king”
My last post was four days ago and I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything new. My brain cells are just not working well right now.
I can’t come up with a good poem to share, hence I’ll share a poem from one of my favourite authors instead.
The poem was written by Bilbo describing Aragorn. I love this one as Aragorn is one of my favourite (if not, my most favourite) character from LOTR (Lord of the Rings).
John Ronald Reuel Tolkien or better known as J.R.R. Tolkien is a genius in so many ways. He created his own language and created a world of masterpiece that engrosses generations of old and new.
I’ve just started reading the Silmarillion and I can’t wait to read further. I have been reading on some of the characters that Tolkien created and I am in awe with how well he’s come up with them.
As a guide to Tolkien’s masterpiece, I’ve recently subscribed to this awesome YouTube channel that’s all about Tolkien’s works. I recommend you guys checkout Men of The West YouTube page and checkout videos about character histories and other tales. I’ve provided a link below so you can check it out 😁.
I hope you guys enjoyed the poem. ‘Til then earthlings!

Down and lost
You feel like quitting.
I see your pain, though you hide it.
Yet even in moments when everyone lost hope on you
Every moment of sadness
You reach for that glimpse of glory.
You are the best when you are defeated
Because it is in those moments, you show that you can still shine.
I lost my lover some years ago
I don’t know how I lost him
I simply just know.
I might have lost him at sea
Or from the mountains
I might have lost him to music
Or art perhaps
I might have lost him through time
Or perhaps hindered by distance.
I’ve never met my lover
Fate wasn’t as kind to us
I know I lost him in some way
I just hope it was not from someone else.
I gained the confidence
And then I lost it
Lost the weight but gained it again
Lost the hope that it took too long to get
I’ve lost my mind which I hoped to save
I’ve cut my hair and changed my clothes
But who have I become?
The lady I see, the lady I hoped to be
She isn’t staring back at me
She got lost amidst the chaos of the mind and heart
Lost among the treacherous trap of society
She may be lost forever
Unless I straight it right
I lost my touch, haven’t I?
Words on a high
They all seem to fly
Away from me
Away from me
I’m drowning slowly, this I know
I’m not sure how far I can go
I’m not sure if words can still take me there, so
This could or might or should be the last
I loved and lost
Better to have lost than not, as they say
And now I wander
Choosing the path not many would take
But I take it as I go
And that is that
I gave love a try
It wasn’t all rainbows
I got bruises that took too long to heal
But I learned
Maybe someday I’d be brave enough to try it once more
But for now
Now is not the time just yet
At least I gave it a try
And that’s all it took
She had this seemingly innocent look
And thus he was gone from me
