Down By The Broken Tree House

I’ve traveled far and climbed the highest mountains

But nothing compares with the broken tree house

It’s not much and it’s not a lot

But it’s where I can be just be me

I spend my time in search of a place

Where I can lay my ming to rest

And it is there that I can completely throw my troubles away

Live By The Sea

I see the ships at the distance
I hear the sea calling me
I stretch my arms to reach it
Oh! How lovely the sea can be
It can be brutal
It can be cruel
It can be gentle
And comforting most of all

It can be stormy
But when it’s calm
It’ll embrace you gently
With it’s charm

I see the ships
I stare out to the sea
It’s just so lovely
As lovely as it will ever be

House By The Beach

Oh yes!
Many of us dream
To have a house
Where the view is fine
Where the air is summery cool
A hamock under a tree
Refreshments at your side

Wouldn’t it be nice!
Wouldn’t it be grand!
Or a house by the cliff
Looking out the beach
Yes! That would be a great retirement

Tree House

I climb the tree house once more

reminiscing the adventures that happened here before

I’m close to tears as I think about it now

for this afternoon, I take my final bow

I take a deep breath and I close my eyes

this is it, we’ll say our goodbyes

Let’s keep in touch, shall we?

that, we all must agree

I miss you already and I’ll miss you even more

I’m holding back tears but I’ll be crying later, for sure

I climb down the tree house and I leave the adventures behind

I have finally and totally resigned

and accepted the inevitable ——-

however, it is still unbearable

as I say goodbye, farewell, to the tree house

that I once called my own

The Haunted House

There is one house in Cheryville

That sits atop a tiny hill

It’s old, it creaked, it didn’t have color

A mansion it was, with a bad-smelling odor

It was built on the eighteen hundreds, they say

It used to be the most beautiful house during those days

Now it sits there rotting slowly

The used to be grand house is now lowly

However, it holds a secret that has been known

People who went inside it have been shown

Outside it looks ordinary

Inside they say it is very scary

A moan you’ll hear, a scream will shrill

Sending shivers down your spine, it’s not a thrill

Someone from somewhere will call your name

No matter how hard you try, you’ll never know where it came

You’ll be poked, pushed and scratched

You’ll be dragged, stabbed or worse when your catched

Restless spirits haunt the house to this day

That’s why no person would want to stay

“Demolish it!”, others suggested

But no one dared, they were all too scared

“Do not enter”, the sign would warn

That one house on Cheryville

That sits atop a tiny hill
