Poetry by Lang Leav

Like time suspended,

a wound unmended–

you and I.
We had no ending,

      no said goodbye.
      For all my life,

      I’ll wonder why.

Goodbye Roses

They bloomed bright and well

But they can’t last, I could tell

They were beautiful, and are still

They brought me joy once before, my happy pill

But now I see they’ve wilted

I look at them with my head tilted

Since you’ve left, the sun did too

And I say goodbye to the roses that came from you

Kissed The Rain

I kissed the rain goodnight

It trickled a little, a little bright

It sparkled

It twinkled

It danced about
I kissed the rain goodbye

I held tears, at least a try

But it fell anyway

Knowing the rain will never stay
I kissed the rain

To wash away the pain

Took Away

She took you from me

You couldn’t see

That I was wounded deeply

But it’s over now

This is the final goodbye

Greetings and Goodbyes

Hi, goodbye love

Hello, farewell my sweet

Hey, so long potential lover

You were never mine

And now,

I know you never will be

Bye, December

A special month for me
Shared times with friends and family
Learned to love
And learned to let go
Learned contentment
And moving on…completely

A new year soon starts.
Fresh and wonderful
As I bid goodbye to December

Goodbye, Farewell

I loved and I lost
What more is there to tell?
No hearty goodbyes
Just a sad farewell

He Was

He was what I longed for
What I thought was my world
Part of me hoped for
But it wasn’t meant to be
He was the sunset
What I needed was sunrise
He walked in my life
And now he saw me walked out of his

See You

A chapter is filled and so we must start a new one
It is never easy to part with friends
But I know we will forever be bounded by the mutual love we have for each other

Hugs And Goodbyes

There are people who come to your life

They leave a certain mark

You either breathe harder or a lot easier

Sometimes a little bit of both

You feel their presence and look for it often

You become one so you feel a missing part

When they leave or when you temporarily part

You feel their love with every hug

And when the moment of goodbye happens

You just know everything will be alright
