I’ll Miss You For Now

I’ll miss you while you’re not here

I’ll miss our small talks and conversations

I’ll miss our laughters and our tears

I’ll miss your silly expressions.
I’ll miss our morning routine of drinking coffee

I’ll miss your simple giggles and smile

I’ll miss you now and how I wish to be

There for you, even just for a while.
I’ll miss you until you come to my life

I’ll miss you for now.

Sincerely,

Your future wife

Move Along

I glance back at all that has happened
I am a little sadenned
Though my leaving has long been planned
It still didn’t prepare me for this
But as I move on, I carry the lessons
And in the darkness, I smile
Knowing that the memories I left were good ones

Live Today

When you feel like giving up
Like the world is falling apart
Like the rain will drown you
And you’re afraid to go back to the start
Lift your head and see the sun
Behind the clouds, behind the rain
Each day is new and another day to start fresh
You’ve got a lot to lose but more to gain
Live each day and live in the present
The past us done and the tomorrow is yet to come
You can do it, I know you can
Do not be afraid and live…just live

Premonition

She’s been at it a lot these days

always talking

And lately, she’s been dreaming

I take it in but it’s hard to swallow

like a pill too big and bitter

I dare to ask even if deep inside it hurts

I hold back tears and make a joke

I stare at her and she’s unknowing

I know why she’s worried

Six years since we’ve known of the cancer

Six years she has fought

I think she feels it’s getting closer

she tries to embrace the inevitable

while I try to stand strong

She seems to see the path ahead

despite the fog

I cling to her while she feels

she’s slipping away

Dark clouds hover over the rainbow

and when it pours

all I can do is bow down and pray
