Finally Coffee

I dragged my feet as I walked out the bedroom

Eyes, sleepy and sagging…still wanting more sleep

I managed to take a shower, getting ready to work from home

Still I was feeling sleepy

Oh woe is me!

Finally after an hour or two, I decided I badly need one

So, a cup of coffee I drank and my day finally began

And are you happy now?

Have you found the missing part of you?

Are you contented, finally?

Finally?

Series Finale

I thought there was still a chance

A chance that our romance will blossom 

But it all ended

When you did what you did

And so I have to completely let you go

This is our end

There will be no you and I

It’s not just the season that has ended,

The series itself is now done

Finally

I can smile again and this time it’s for real
No more sad sobbing nights or wondering “what’s the deal?”
I can be happy once more
That is the real score
Sadness is gone now…no more
That I know for sure
Warm and fuzzy is what I feel inside
So I smile a real smile, got no sadness to hide
I am over,
Finally over you
