You and I Are Not A Fairytale

We go up,
We go down,
I stay away and around
I like you but you don’t seem to
You don’t feel the same as I do

Not like the stories of fairytales of old
More like real life
Waiting and being told

You and I, we are real
And it can go awry or either way
But for now I will wait
So we shall see

Fairytale

It starts with once upon a time

and ends with happily ever after

There’s something about these stories that

we can’t wait to see what happens on the next chapter

We read on and somehow we can’t help but hope

that happily ever after is not just in a book

I guess that’s why we love fairy tales

and that is why we get hooked

Girls dream of Prince Charming

and boys dream of saving the damsel in distress

Of slaying the dragon or defeating the evil witch

and later on climb the tower and share a kiss

There’s always singing and dancing

a lot of merriment

A fairy godmother, magic and love at first sight

and evil is vanquished, it’s evident

It’s nice to imagine, it’s nice to dream

of living in a world of fairy tale

Where true love wins and always reigns

and true love’s kiss never fails
