The stars, they call

Calling me back

But I cling to this world

Contented at looking up at them.

But they continue to call

Even when I constantly ignore them.

When The Sun Went Down

The day the sun went down,

It never came back up again.

The world was dark say for the stars and the silent moon

But their light was faint.

“Goodbye”, said the sun

And it set forever, never to return.

Giving Up, Giving All

Here I am trying to sort this out

Here I am trying to survive

Trying to understand what am I about

And withstand the dive

I often, if not always, get knocked down

I whimper and frown

But as life is like this,

I just get back up again

Down

It’s been a long day

My energy is depleted

I don’t feel like moving

I just want to lie down

Rest and sleep

Manic

I stumble

I fall

I don’t want to get up at all.
I’m tired

I’m down

No smile to give, just a frown.
Some days it seems I can do anything

And some days I feel I have nothing

Then I start all over again

Give Joy

Dark and gloomy

The world is, already

Share a laugh, a smile

It can go as far as a mile

To someone who is broken

Days or weeks, haven’t spoken

A simple gesture of sharing joy

Is sometimes all it takes

Feet Over

The grass is blue

The sky is green

The day becomes night

And night becomes day

It’s how I feel

It’s what I felt

When you loved me

My feet was over my head

Crooked Smile

I wipe away my tears

And show them my smile that’s crooked

I hide away my fears

They will never know.
I sway and sing

Like the great pretender that I am

They don’t know the heartache it brings

When they laugh and talk behind me.
But I walk away stronger

And don’t mind the negatives

I come out to be bolder

They could never know.

Capes

I wore no capes

I never flew

Was never a super nor ever a hero

I took the hit and took the fall

But I got up stronger than before

I did it all without any mask or cape

I wore no capes

I never flew

Was never a super nor ever a hero

I took the hit and took the fall

But I got up stronger than before

I did it all without any mask or cape
