Take The Lead

Take my hand, take the lead

The dance floor awaits.

Hold me close, hold me gently

Spin me around and never let go.

Let’s sway to the music

Let the rest of the world melt away.

And as the music fades,

Hold me tighter until the next song starts.

Dance With Me

Take my hand so I can lead you to the dance floor

Spin me around

Hold me close

Hold my hand tight and don’t let go.

The ballroom glitters and shines

And suddenly the moonlight has lost is glow

As your eyes captures every single light and moment

Dance With Wolves

I’ve learned to dance with wolves

I’ve learned to live with them

They surround me often

Waiting to pounce

Waiting for the moment I let my guard down

They come around still

Pretending to be tame

Pretending to be innocent

But I know

I’ve learned

I am not their prey

Because I know them

And that is why they now fear me

Dancing Clouds

I could have danced all night with the stars watching over me

But the clouds came by

I stopped and greeted them

They were a bit shy

Nonetheless they said “hi”

They too danced along

And I smiled

It was a wonderful number

The stars did agree

And that was how the clouds danced that night

Incurable

I danced alone, like I did for a thousand years

Some stare like I had an incurable sickness

Some are amaze at my boldness

Defying the norm.

I feel whole

I feel empty

I may in fact be incurable

But this shows I am strong enough to be on my own.

Ditch The Ball

He asked,

“Why aren’t you going to the ball?”

I answered,

“I don’t want to wear something I hate

Just to impress people I don’t like.”

That’s it,

That’s all

Yes, I’m ditching the ball.

He picked me up and we danced away

Shooting stars lifted us up

Away we went through misty moonshine

As the sun rose from the west

Humming

Oh I hear the music in my head

I hear rhythm

I feel light

I tap my feet

I snap my fingers

I hum the song

And before I knew it, I was already singing out loud

Walk On Air

She had grace and beauty

Always sweet and never naughty

She see!ed fancy and had flair

But never boastful or conceited….

….Still, it seemed she walked on air

I Danced

The music started

Slowly at first, and then…
People at the dance floor, holding each other close

I sat there letting the music fill my soul
Before I knew it I was on air
Held by someone who was close enough to be an angel

I felt his warmth as we glide through the dance floor
The music was sweeter than ever
And I caught myself holding my breath
As he guided me

I did not notice everyone else
It was as if we were the only people there

As the music slowly faded, I opened my eyes
Only to find out I danced in a dream

unbolt me
