I Count The Stars

Until the dawn hugs the morning dew

Until dewdrops trickle down the leaves

Until the moon stays full

Until tulips kisses the sunshine

Until it leads back to you

I will continue to count the stars

Counting Love

One, two, three

I’m hoping you’ll love me

Four, five, six

I need your loving fix

Seven, eight, nine

I pray you will be mine

Counting until ten

Wondering if you’ll love me, and when

I Count The Days

Time was moving slow

Just the way I liked it

I didn’t want to count the days

I wanted to make the days count

Count the happines

Not the sadness

Count the heartbeats

Not the heartaches

Count the stars

Not your worries

Count your blessings

Adlaw (Days)

Mga adlawng nilabay / Days gone

Mga adlawng lumalabay / Days to come

Hain na? / Where has it gone?

Nganong ka dali ba? / Suddenly all done?

Nitunga, nawala, ni agi / It came, disappeared, went by

Murag imong gibati, ako ang alaot niini / Like your fleeting feelings, I’m the one left to cry

Pero mao na jud na / But that’s that

Mga adlawng nawala / Days gone just like that

Good morning today!

I said goodbye to yesterday

Tomorrow is another day

I’ll make it through another day

I’ll go get it and do it my way

And so I’m glad I have today

The time ticks

Tick tock, tick tock

Winding up

Winding down

Turning around

How do you keepup with time?

Running Time

tick tock says the clock

waiting for nothing and no one

always running, always counting

always on the move

never-resting nor stopping for anything

always busy

never-ending but seems to always run out

so much more yet not enough

often I wonder

if it ever pauses

to take a minute, take a moment

to enjoy what the Earth has to offer

to indulge and just breathe…….

sometimes I wish for Time to just take a stroll

Counting Sheep

I was lying outside, staring into space

counting stars while in search of falling stars to wish upon

when all of a sudden sheeps floated by

One, two, three, four

they started coming in pairs

one black, one white

one small, one big

one skinny, one lumpy

Some jumped, some skipped

or hopped

singing Baa Baa Black Sheep

and a Baa ram ewe

Soon the sheeps were falling one by one

my thoughts swirled

my head spun

the sky went dark

Something wet upon my cheek

I realized I was drooling

I opened my eyes, the stars up above

I guess I fell asleep

because of those silly, silly sheeps

Just Counting

One, two, three, four

I get up and shut the door

Five, six, seven, eight

today I’m not thinking straight

Nine, ten, eleven, twelve

I think I need to clean the shelves

Thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen

should not have too much caffeine

Seventeen, eighteen, nineteen and twenty

I should stop now before I get to seventy

unbolt me
