My knees feel the tension

I almost buckled

My heart leapt from my throat

I half cried and half chuckled

I told myself I had to start somewhere

And now is as any good of a time

So I closed my eyes and there I was

I took the chance

Just A Thought

For a love would never bloom if it never had the chance

Like sunlight would never shine with just a single glance

That’s how it was when I loved you

When I thought I loved you

But that was just a thought

Closed Eyes

I held my hand out,

Touched the air.

I stepped out and saw the rain

The sun was hiding.

I felt my heart beat slowly, calmly

And with closed eyes I took the leap

Another

Another day

Another way to do well

Another chance for the better

Always trying to get better

Another time to do your best

Another chance to be at your best

Another moment

Towards You

She writes a poem and dedicates it to you
She had her heart rejected before,
But she has since pieced it together with glue

She knows she likes you and hopes you do too
She knows it’s a long shot
But she’s willing to go at it and give it all she’s got

She knows she could get hurt again
But there is always that risk when you love
Because there is a chance that this is what she’s been dreaming of

She’s giving it a try, she’s hip deep now
Soon she’ll swim
Away from the shore and towards you

It’s No Surprise

Your smile,
Your laugh,
The way you look into my eyes,

The way you prefer to sit across me so you can see my face
The way you prefer to sit beside me so you can get closer
You have your simple ways
And it wouldn’t come as a surprise if ever I decide to fall for youe,

Potential

A glimpse,
A chance,
A hope,

I shouldn’t think about it
But the more I do,
The clearer it is

That most often we do not see
What is in front of us
But yes, I admit
That you do have potential

Geronimo

I had my heart broken before
And I think I’m about to once more
But each heartbreak is worth it, I know
So once again I go as I say geronimo!

When There Was No Chance

No sorry was ever uttered

For both of us did not know what to say

You were never the vocal one after all

But your actions spoke stronger

And you showed so much effort

I gave up, I really did

But you made sure I’d give you the chance that was never there

You showed our friendship mattered

You made your presence felt

I gave you the cold shoulder

I was tired and thought you wanted me out of your life

But you pulled me back

Told me without words that I mattered

So finally I gave you back my smile

I spoke the words first

I saw you light up

And that’s when I knew…..

When You Tease

I avoided the conversation,

Denied myself

And tried not to give in

I kept holding back

And told them nothing

I kept mum

Silent as a whisper

But then you started to tease

And I can’t help but loosen my grip

Don’t tease me and make me fall for nothing

Because I’m ready to give you my all
