Hang Man

Outside he appeared to be jolly

Inside he was feeling hollow, empty

He could feel something creeping in his mind

It was dark, cruel, tempting, and unkind

He tried to ward it off, tried to fight it

But on days when he was awake and alone, he contemplated on it

Don’t think him too weak, it was a battle no one could see

It took over him so his life he took a finality

He bowed his head and there himself he hanged

The darkness he could no longer withstand

Struggling

Little room for error or even none at all

Very few people would even heed this call

Close to giving up

Maybe I should stop and curl up

But something tells me to push on

I’m at the end of my rope

Almost loosing all hope

But it will never be over even if I raise my hands up

It will go on even if I stop

So I hold my head high

And I go on and try

No matter how many times I stumble

I remember to always be humble

I carry on despite the struggle

And move forth

The Unbroken

The battle goes on

outside and within oneself

The horrid fight, bombshells, gun fires

and a dagger through the heart

Piercing cries of the innocents

drown the tears of blood

Hear the cries of the people…

…of your people

Destruction at hand and devastation at its wake

But we all must remain strong

Steadfast and ready

We will be broken, mended and become the unbroken

Hold Your Breath

in that moment that your fighting with all your might

mustering all your strength and giving it all you’ve got

in that moment, that split second

thoughts flood your mind ; everything is rushing through your veins

faster than the speed of sound

your surroundings becomes a blur

and in that moment you’re about to lose control

but your blood is pumping, heart is raising

adrenaline is over the top

and in the last moments you hold your breath and hold your head high

you’ve won! and it was worth the fight, the struggle

the scars are worth it

for you’ve won the battle
