Music Feeds The Soul

Oh I get emotional

I get teary-eyed

A rollercoaster ride of feelings

Sometimes I just can’t hide

I go up, I go down

I feel happy, I feel sad

I listen to the words

And often, I feel glad

It captivates me

It’s quite alluring

The wonderful sounds

Of soulful singing

I Danced

The music started

Slowly at first, and then…
People at the dance floor, holding each other close

I sat there letting the music fill my soul
Before I knew it I was on air
Held by someone who was close enough to be an angel

I felt his warmth as we glide through the dance floor
The music was sweeter than ever
And I caught myself holding my breath
As he guided me

I did not notice everyone else
It was as if we were the only people there

As the music slowly faded, I opened my eyes
Only to find out I danced in a dream

Friday Song

It’s a Friday yet the song I play is for the ones feeling blue
I sing the song, but not because of you
Not because I feel sad or broken
Some words are better left unspoken
But that is not the reason, not at all
I still stand, proud, and tall
The song is just my flow
In a fast paced world, this helps me keep things slow

It’s Friday and I know I play the song for the brokens
But with this, I take away happiness as a token

It’s No Surprise

Your smile,
Your laugh,
The way you look into my eyes,

The way you prefer to sit across me so you can see my face
The way you prefer to sit beside me so you can get closer
You have your simple ways
And it wouldn’t come as a surprise if ever I decide to fall for youe,

Played Once More

I tuned in and tines out
I tuned out the bad vibes
I strum along and sang
Until I got it right

I played like we used to
I sang like we did back then

I heard the guitar sing along
Happy to have been played once more

Ed Sings

He made a rhyme and placed a tune
Talked about love and reaching the moon.

He told of heartaches and how his heart mended,
About the start of it all and how it ended.

He poured songs about life,
And maybe someday finding a wife.

He sang a song that seemed to be dedicated for me,
He had a way to get people’s emotions, you see.

When he sang it was heavenly,
And people sang along happily.

His gift is amazing! I can listen to him all day,
It wouldn’t be a bore, not at all, not in any way.

When you hear the beat

You hum along to it
A little bit of tap
And then you do a little clap
Do a bit of snap
You then sing along
And suddenly twisting, turning and dancing
It feels great and you feel great too!

Replay

Over and over it plays
On repeat, it seems to go on for days.
The tune in mind is stuck
Trying to rid of it but no such luck.
The sound goes on and as it ends
I hit replay once more

Better Mornings

The rain fell and she awoke
No dream visited her
But his song made the morning better
And so on she went

Out Of Tune

He sang his song
But she laughed
He was never good enough
She wanted someone who could serenade her softly
And he wasn’t the one

He sang his true feelings
She could not see that
For she heard with her ears
And not her heart
