Silhouette

The shadows on the window were playing tricks with her
Her eyes weren’t like what they used to be
She thought she saw the silhouette of her husband
Back when he was still young

She teared up remembering he had passed
She sorely missed him
As she closed her eyes, she thought she heard him whisper,
“Time to go, my love”
She smiled as she fell asleep

She didn’t wake up the next morning

For the visually challenged reader, the above image shows the shadow of a man projected on a curtain/ screen which also shows some overlying foggy shadows and digital markings.
