Outerspace

I’m taking a rocketship and flying past the moon

I’m going far, farther away

Outside the Milky Way

Onwards to Andromeda

Past the vast expanse of the galaxy

I’m going, going, going

Floating away into outerspace.

Take The Lead

Take my hand, take the lead

The dance floor awaits.

Hold me close, hold me gently

Spin me around and never let go.

Let’s sway to the music

Let the rest of the world melt away.

And as the music fades,

Hold me tighter until the next song starts.

Scales

I stepped on the weighting scale and I looked up

Afraid of what I’ll see when I look down as the weight may not have dropped.

I crossed my fingers and even my toes

Hoping to end a bit of my woes.

Slowly I looked down, praying the scale would be good to me

And then!

The Sea Is My Home

I feel at ease and calm

The sea, it helps me becalm.

Time is slower there and all worries are washed away

Sitting on the beach soaking the salty air makes it the best day!

My toes dig deep on the sand

This place couldn’t be more grand.

I take a dip and swim all the stress away

This is quite a nice getaway.

Before Bedtime

Getting ready for bed, all excited and dandy

I can finally rest my head on soft pillows I have handy

I peep through the window and something caught my eye

Something beautiful that I cannot deny

The moon smiled but with a different color

It smiled bright red, that I’m sure

I smiled back, silently thanking for a good night.

Swing By

I see you pass by and often it’s not accidental,

I purposely wait until you come along and yes, it’s not coincidental.

But I’m not the only one crushing on you,

Others go out of their way for you too.

You’re well admired for your character and charm,

And that smile! Oh, makes me feel warm.

So as you go on with your routine,

I wait for you to swing by while I sip some caffeine.

I Hide

I hide behind fake laughter

I hide behind half meant smiles

I hide my self esteem

Tuck it all away never knowing when it will be put to use.

I hide my scars

I hide my incompetencies

I hide everything that is wrong with me because society only wants perfection.

I hide sadness

I hide struggles

No one wants to deal with that.

I hide myself until I’m no more,

Hidden and wasting away.
