And then sometimes I want to write about sadness
Sometimes it’s a song about love
And then at times about heartbreak
Sometimes it’s about life and acknowledging the existence of death
Then sometimes I write about nothing
About no one
About the world and the beauty it has despite the darkness it also holds
With all the sometimes, often I write with the aim not to please others
But just to bring joy
I look up and I see up ahead
The sun is burning brightly orange and red
A hint of purple and blue
Yes, I see those colors too.
Beyond the horizon, the sun is leaving
But its beauty still radiating
Cooler breeze is now blowing
As the sun is slowly setting.
The ray of sun pierces through the window
The light’s reflection playfully bounces
Outside, the heat of the sun is scorching
Summer is creeping in
“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes, a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king”
My last post was four days ago and I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything new. My brain cells are just not working well right now.
I can’t come up with a good poem to share, hence I’ll share a poem from one of my favourite authors instead.
The poem was written by Bilbo describing Aragorn. I love this one as Aragorn is one of my favourite (if not, my most favourite) character from LOTR (Lord of the Rings).
John Ronald Reuel Tolkien or better known as J.R.R. Tolkien is a genius in so many ways. He created his own language and created a world of masterpiece that engrosses generations of old and new.
I’ve just started reading the Silmarillion and I can’t wait to read further. I have been reading on some of the characters that Tolkien created and I am in awe with how well he’s come up with them.
As a guide to Tolkien’s masterpiece, I’ve recently subscribed to this awesome YouTube channel that’s all about Tolkien’s works. I recommend you guys checkout Men of The West YouTube page and checkout videos about character histories and other tales. I’ve provided a link below so you can check it out 😁.
I hope you guys enjoyed the poem. ‘Til then earthlings!

Down I go
With no idea of what lies ahead, this will be an adventure.
Everything is wonderful and magical in the eyes of an innocent child.
The world is fun to explore and you just want to jump and run wild!
Curious of many things, everywhere you turn is whimsical.
In awe with a lot of things that seem astronomical.
You see beauty through your innocent eyes.
As for me, you are the beauty and it’s no surprise.
When days were longer and the sun wasn’t as hot
Looking forward to summer and playing all day long
Danced and played in the rain
Running around, sweaty but with a huge smile on my face
Climb trees, scraped my knees
Flew a kite, learned how to ride a bike
Roller blading and falling and getting back up to try again
Yes, I remember those wonderful days

The mountain before me is incredibly steep
I have to work hard and dig deep.
My climb is slow, my breathing heavy
Stopping myself a couple of times to keep myself steady.
One step at a time, one foot in front of the other
I’ll get to the top, one way or another.
So I go on, upwards and onwards!
I’m done wishing, I need to act.
Got to get myself back on track.
Got to stand up and start somewhere
Or else I’ll be stuck, I’ll be going nowhere.
If not now then I may not do it ever
Got to get a move on and never say never.
It’ll be hard, and that’s for sure
But I know what I must do, I must endure.
I’m done wishing and here’s my first act
To get myself back on track.
This isn’t a poem or a prose, obviously. But in case your not using your mobile to view this blog, you’ll notice a latest addition to this blog.
On the lower left of the main page, you’ll see posts from my Instagram page. So, in case you haven’t yet, you can also follow me on Instagram as @mikayladirat.
Thank you all for your support of this blog.
PS. I’m also working on something else. I might release it as a page, separate from the main poems and prose. I’m working on finalizing it soon. 😉😘
