Seriously For Granted

He took my heart but he never took me seriously

He took my heart but he only took me for granted

Feet Over

The grass is blue

The sky is green

The day becomes night

And night becomes day

It’s how I feel

It’s what I felt

When you loved me

My feet was over my head

No Love

They judge me

They tell me I’ve never truly felt love

Or been in love
But how would they know?

The dim witted often think they’re smart

They will never understand

And I won’t care

Because I know,

Heartbreak is all I’ve ever had

Hang Man

Outside he appeared to be jolly

Inside he was feeling hollow, empty

He could feel something creeping in his mind

It was dark, cruel, tempting, and unkind

He tried to ward it off, tried to fight it

But on days when he was awake and alone, he contemplated on it

Don’t think him too weak, it was a battle no one could see

It took over him so his life he took a finality

He bowed his head and there himself he hanged

The darkness he could no longer withstand

A Title Is Needed

I am no poet and this is no poetry

I write no songs, I share no story

I am mortal and yes I worry

About life, about love

About the moon and stars above
But I am no poet as you can see

I just write whatever comes to me

Forever Is A Lie

Forever

I hear it often

I see it less

It’s all a lie

Not Mine

He told me a story

One about love and humor

He smiled in a way I’ve never seen before

His eyes wide and excited

A thrill in his voice
He talked about love

But it was one not to be mine

Am I Ugly?

They look, they stare

They wonder, they dare

They ask me why I’m still single

It sometimes makes me feel worthless, hence, I don’t mingle

They talk, they whisper

Words can hurt, they can blister

And even without a word I feel they’re saying smugly

You’re still single because you’re ugly

Hello Up There!

I talk to you though you never say much

Near enough to see,

Far enough unable to touch

You listen to my woes and often we don’t say a word

Yet you fill this aching heart

You manage to remove the stabbed sword

I sit here, looking up

We both are quite still

No Fix

Oh break my heart

Oh break me

I need no fixing

I have been broken too many times already

I just need some love and care

To feel a little whole again
