The sky is full of bright lights
Oh the stars, they watch tonight
They hide their twinkle for the night
They watch is awe to what the world has to offer
For tonight, the show is for them
They watch the fireworks work its magic
As they take a bteak from shining and become the spectators
There goes another year,
Like another time,
We’ve been able to get this far,
And farther we will go still.
The year will soon be new
But same old me and same old you.
Older and hopefully wiser and better and happier.
No plan will work out like you’d want to but go at it anyway
Because before you know it,
Another year would have gone by again.
Everyone is in a hurry, it seems
Daylight fading or running out of schemes.
They dress and doll up, attractive as can be
Gorgeous lips with wonderful locks for every man to see.
They try, they sell, they do cutie stuff and flirt around
All to be “taken”, taken where? Oh, just around.
They tell me I’m running behind, they all tell me to hurry up
No time to chit chat, no time to stop.
But I’m not running late
I’m not even running
There may be some disappointments, maybe some hate
But I’ll show them I can be stunning.
On my own.
This chapter is almost through
Only a couple more pages left to fill
Another year and something new
And maybe some more coffee spills.
Add more colors to end the chapter right
Smile from the heart, to brighten up the night.
And as one chapter ends,
A mind at peace
And the world too
Natural wonders and beauty
The sun rises and sets with always a new light!
Oh wouldn’t it be great if it were?
To lift the spirit and start the day right
I turn on the music then I feel alright.
Music gives meaning, gives life
Melts all the struggles and the strife.
And so I let the music engulf me
Give without expecting something in return
Give until it hurts
Give where it’s needed
And when it’s needed
Give because it’s the best gift
Prefers to be on her own
They don’t understand that her singlehood is her bliss!
A soul roamed the world, traveled as they say
Took the routes and different ways
Traveled far and it was good
But still, the soul wasn’t in the mood
It was missing something
Even when it did everything
It lacked warmth, familiarity, roots
It just went wherever it suits
It knew it’s way but was still lost
The soul needed a home, needed it at all cost!
But where is this home?
There was a time when the world was still
and so was my heart.
I wonder where it went?
