Your Fall

Cry until it breaks you down

Scream until your soul tires

Hold your breath until you’re blue

Do all this and let it all go

Break the chains that bind you

Free your mind from fear and inferiority

Barriers are meant to be blown up to bits

Let your imagination run free

Bruises are part of the struggle

Place a bandage and you’re good to go

They will bleed you to death

And take everything from you

My hand is here to help you up

A friend indeed is what I am

I will be here to catch your fall

So together we shall rise

That Beautiful Dreamer

Bathe in scarlet moon shine

the shadow of the star casts down

Eyes of emerald-green close softly

laying down under the mango tree

Horses dance and the snow falls upward

rainbows bow down

The sun trembles, shivers ; doing what it is told

The fish held its breath

A hail of cold fire descended from the heavens

as the entire galaxy opened up

The frog sang in beautiful tenor

all for the dreamer, dreaming them all

The beautiful dreamer lay still, sleeping

in almost perfect silence

wrapped in sheets of linen white

while the golden brown hair limps sadly

Today, Tomorrow and Yesterday

today has gone away

tomorrow is another day

yesterday has done it’s part

it won’t have a change of heart

fear not what you know not of

you know you’ll make it when push comes to shove

life is not a race

you’re suppose to take time, slow your pace

do what you can for today

relive but don’t dwell on the moments of yesterday

tomorrow is always a day away

no use fretting that’s what I say

keep to your faith for that is what really counts

Rest Your Bones

Tired, weary, aching

Lie down, I’ll watch over while you are sleeping

Cracked, dented, mangled

Rest easy, I’ll take care of the mess and tangle

Dreamland awaits, drift off now

When you awaken, you’ll be strong like the bough

Do not worry of tomorrow for it can wait

Rest those tired bones, I’ll be here when you wake

Why No Post?

So I decided to skip a meal

And so a sickness I had to deal

Acute pancreatitis was the name

It was no joke, not a game

Five days I spent at the hospital

It was no fun, not at all

Now feeling so much better,

I get to write my posts once more

And as I write this short letter

I’m bouncing back just like before

Be Glad Your Nose Is In Your Face

Be glad your nose is on your face,
not pasted on some other place,
for if it were where it is not,
you might dislike your nose a lot.

Imagine if your precious nose
were sandwiched in between your toes,
that clearly would not be a treat,
for you’d be forced to smell your feet.

Your nose would be a source of dread
were it attached atop your head,
it soon would drive you to despair,
forever tickled by your hair.

Within your ear, your nose would be
an absolute catastrophe,
for when you were obliged to sneeze,
your brain would rattle from the breeze.

Your nose, instead, through thick and thin,
remains between your eyes and chin,
not pasted on some other place–
be glad your nose is on your face!

I sing the blues

I sing the blues when no one hears

I sing it softly to release my fears

Only the walls hear, and the roof too

They hear me sing whenever I’m blue

I sing of life, of love and of suffering

The new-born, the old and the dying

I sing, I sing, I sing the blues

and I will keep on singing to my heart’s content

Catching Stars

I hold my hands out and stretch my arms

to try to catch each one and place them as one of my bracelet charms

One for love, one for luck

One for happiness where I always get stuck

I stick my tongue out, like catching snow

that feeling like there’s no tomorrow

It falls on my head, brings a smile on my face

their light shines bright and leaves a trace

I share them with the fireflies, who are more than willing

paying each one with a shilling

So I stretch my arms and I catch those stars

after all they’ve travelled all the way from Mars
