End of my Friend

you asked a question but pause to hold your tongue

my friend you were so able, but now what have you become?

the sharp edges has butchered your once soft hands

and now you’re left with nothing, not even a second chance

you paint the days so callously

you’ve completely forgotten how it used to be

the days are slow as you melt away

and I have nothing but these bare hands to make you stay

I have been here for you, always

yet it seems the cloudless sky disintegrating

has cut short the ballets

the songs, they’ve seized, no more

the endless serenade, gone ; ended the perfect score

I searched for you, you’ve gone astray

green fields replaced by clouds of grey

when you’re sober, let me know

I’ll be there for you once more for I’ll never let you go
